This story
Inspired me to make this:

Seth J. Turok bought a $40,000 Audi A6 from Elk Mountain Motors in 2000 and said he has had problems with the car ever since. When he didn't get satisfaction from the dealer, he attached signs to his car saying "Friends don't let friends shop at Elk Mntn Motors."
Now, the dealership has filed a libel and slander suit against Turok, claiming he has "verbally communicated to the general public that dishonesty or fraud is a characteristic of Elk Mountain."

After nine days of pretty much constant rain up here in Connecticut, today is turning out to be a nice sunny day.
Over the past nine days the state averaged a total rainfall of about 15 inches, or to put in another way, over 1.4 trillion gallons of water fell on CT over the past nine days.
Typical total annual rainfall for Connecticut?
About 45 inches.

There as been an amazing amount of very shady sounding mortgage rate advertisements running on Hartford, Connecticut radio lately. They talk not about interest rates, but instead about payment rates. I have no idea what sort of mortgage rate a payment rate might be, other than your timeliness of payments. There's a quick disclaimer at the beginning, but it doesn’t define what a mortgage payment rate might be.
This press release from CT's AG, Freddie MAC and a couple of other politicians, seems to indicate that there’s enough shady mortgage practices going on to be concerned.
They gave their campaign a clever name, I must admit: DontBorrowTrouble.com, though the lack of an apostrophe makes it look like Freddie's grammar might not be up to speed.

It was funny in Super Troopers, but when real cops try it: Well, still kinda funny.

My dentist today used a Kodak Digital Camera to take some X-Rays.
I wasn't surprised by the technology, but it was pretty cool nonetheless.
Biggest downsides?
The sensor is a lot thicker than a piece of film, so the digital sensor pushed into the soft parts of my mouth a bit more than film cards.
Cleaning must be an issue.
Need for power to be able to view images & difficulty in transferring records shot with digital sensor.

Some B&B search service is using the my Flag of the People's Republic Of Ithaca on its Ithaca B&B page!
I designed the PRI flag based upon the flag of North Korea, with the colors chosen to highlight Ithaca's watermelon nature (Green on the outside, red on the inside). It is meant purely as an insult to Ithaca, and now it is being used to sell Ithaca.
If they only knew...
